Can anyone tell me how to make my Evinrude E-Tek quieter?

I'd like to fit a cowling or canopy of some type over it....attached to the back of our pontoon boat. I haven't been able to locate anything that I could purchase, that might work. I'm thinking of building some kind of cover myself.....using materials I could purchase at Home Depot.
I could use some good ideas......

Thank You, PT
